Mariia Usanova is a London-based multidisciplinary artist working across makeup, SFX, hair, and painting. Her practice centres on transformation, treating the body as a mutable surface where identity and perception are continuously redefined.
Working between fine art and fashion, she creates images that distort and reconfigure the human form through texture, material, and intervention - challenging fixed ideas of beauty and representation.
Alongside her image making, she produces large-scale figurative paintings of women in surreal, fragmented environments, extending her exploration of embodiment and perception across disciplines.
